This is my setup and it suits my needs, but there are other ways to do it. You should choose whatever suits you best. This is just an overview.

Requirements Explained

I wanted to get started and integrate this into my schedule using the same tools I use daily for personal and work-related tasks. I only need a static website to be online, without opening my network to the world or relying on a home computer as a server.

  • Notes:
    • Obsidian: A note-taking tool that uses Markdown. I like it because it suits multiple needs, with many plugins available for customization.
      • Quartz 4: This helps me convert my notes into HTML with zero effort.
  • Storage:
    • GitHub: I need a place to store my website and maintain version control, in case I need to roll back to previous versions. I use GitHub daily at work and am comfortable with it.
  • Hosting:
    • Hosting: I’ve used [Cloudflare]((https://pages.cloudflare.com/) in the past. I’ll be using Cloudflare Pages, a serverless way to deploy a website. It integrates well with GitHub.
